LOOK: Mak's Noodle from Hong Kong opens in Manila
If you ever found yourself craving a bowl of Mak's Noodle, there's no need to travel—it's now open in SM Megamall.
What began as a stall in Hong Kong has grown into an international staple, with the Philippines joining China and Thailand as the latest destination for its celebrated Cantonese dishes.
Known for a broth that the Michelin Guide describes as deeply flavorful, the restaurant has brought its wonton noodles to the Philippines. Its signature wonton noodles feature translucent, paper-thin skins that reveal firm prawns, paired with springy duck egg noodles.
Mak’s Noodle also serves classic brisket and tendon varieties, plus a traditional braised pork knuckle with fermented red beancurd.
Its interior, meanwhile, remains faithful to the Hong Kong aesthetic—a bright, high-contrast space anchored by signature green leather seating and wooden finishes.
Its first branch is currently located on the ground level of SM Megamall’s Mega Fashion Hall, with a second location slated to open soon in SM Mall of Asia.
