Looking for something to do this weekend? We've got you covered.

Local creative event group Local Puesto Manila is bringing back WE ART LUNETA, an arts and crafts market featuring up and coming talents from around the metro.

The two-day free event will be held from April 23 to 24 at the Luneta Park in Manila City. Visitors and budding art enthusiasts can expect art pieces, stickers, comics, books, handmade jewelry and trinkets, clothes and accessories, home decor, and more from the market.

Along with budding individual artists, the local comic community Komiket will also be offering a wide array of Filipino comics and books.

The WE ART concept started in the Walled City of Intramuros in 2019, where they were able to stage three major art markets and two pop-ups that year.

"We would have continued to do if not for the pandemic," they shared with PhilSTAR L!fe. "While we were able to do a few popups in 2021, this year feels like a return to form for the artists and the consumers."

Since March 2022, Puesto Manila has been holding regular events in Luneta.

Puesto Manila has also entered into partnerships with various entities such as the National Parks Development Committee to keep their costs low, ultimately translating to lower joining fees for artists.

They are also currently looking into expanding to more areas across the metro to not just cater to customers, but to artists looking to reach an audience with their work.

"We want to create an environment for artists and crafters who are starting out on their business journey," the event group shared.

WE ART LUNETA is happening from April 23 to 24, 2022 at the Noli Mi Tangere Garden in Luneta Park. Gates open from 1:00 PM and close at 8:00 PM.
