MRT-3 extends evening operations by one hour
The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 has extended its operations by one hour starting Monday, March 24.
In a Facebook post, the Department of Transportation said the extension takes effect in the evening from Monday to Friday.
There will be no extension on Saturdays and Sundays.
"Magdaragdag na rin ng tren tuwing peak hours para sa mas mabilis at maginhawang biyahe ng mga pasahero," the DOTr said.
With the new policy, southbound trains run as late as 10:53 p.m. and northbound trains at 11:32 p.m. on weekdays.

On weekends, southbound trains operate as late as 9:52 p.m. while northbound trains are available until 10:32 p.m.

The move came a week after DOTr Sec. Vince Dizon asked the MRT-3 management to extend its evening operations in order to provide a better experience to commuters and "make [their] lives easier."
