Philippine Airlines launches Manila to Seattle direct flights
Heads up, travelers! Want to visit the original Starbucks or see the Space Needle? Seattle is now one flight away as Philippine Airlines (PAL) has launched nonstop flights from Manila to the Emerald City starting Wednesday, October 2.
This marked the first direct air connection between the Philippines and the Pacific Northwest.
In a Facebook post, PAL announced that flights operated by Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with premier inflight services are scheduled three times a week.
According to PAL President Stanley K. Ng, the flights will further develop the current airline's network to the United States, which includes Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Honolulu, and Guam.
"Our Manila-Seattle-Manila flights give us a valuable opportunity to promote tourism and business for American travelers and serve the Filipino community in the U.S. Pacific Northwest," said Ng, according to Fox 13.
Starting on the opening day and continuing until November 30, 2024, as well as February and March 2025, PAL is giving special introductory rates to promote the route.
You may make your reservation on PAL's website or through a travel agency, but note that ticket prices vary depending on the date and time of booking.
As of writing, economy class fares range from $670 (P38,280.66) to $1,502 (P84,679.76) while, business class fares range from $3180 (P179,282.04) to $3,947 (P222,523.97).
Quoted fares include taxes, fees, and surcharges except PH Travel Tax, which is added at the passenger's option during or after the booking.
