“Trick or treat? Give me something good to eat…”

Halloween used to be a festive celebration in different parts of the metro, where kids would go trick or treating while the grown-ups would have the time of their lives at parties. Things have toned down a little since the COVID-19 pandemic started, but that doesn’t mean we can no longer make it one of the spookiest and most vibrant events of the year.

From burgers to chocolate piñatas, here are some fun treats and DIY kits that can make your Halloween 2021 unforgettable.

Burger King® has a new Ghost Whopper® that showcases its delicious 100% flame-grilled beef patty with tomatoes, lettuce, mayo, ketchup, pickles, and onions sandwiched between two tasty white cheddar cheese buns. Available only until Nov. 2, you can grab it in 13 select branches in Metro Manila.

Krispy Kreme just released the cutest Halloween treats for donut lovers! Included in its spooky line this year are Halloween Sprinkles, Jack the Pumpkin, Frankie, Halloween Bride, Mr. Skelly, and Skelly’s Suit that are hand-dipped in different icing flavors like chocolate, white chocolate, melon, and orange, among others.

Are you a cookie monster? You’ll definitely love The Dessert Kart’s DIY cookie kit (P450), which comes with six Halloween cookies, three kinds of sprinkles, and three icing colors.

If you prefer cupcakes, Anjeli Cupcakes offers that version for P250. Each DIY kit includes three chocolate cupcakes, red and orange buttercream icing, three kinds of sprinkles, candies, and toppers.

Speaking of munchies, Choffeenilla Treats offers both mini and regular cupcakes that can impress your guests for your socially distanced Halloween party at home. Look how colorful and striking they are!

There are also Halloween cakes by Marie Bakery and Cafe in caramel apple and chocolate fudge flavors. They're available in two designs: Jack o' Lantern and Candy Monster.

For chocolate lovers, why not go for this chocolate piñata DIY kit by Cupcake Lab? This fun-filled offering has a little bit of everything: brain chocolate piñata, marshmallows, meringue kisses, wooden mallet, cupcakes, buttercream icing, fondant toppers, chocolate skull, sprinkles, crushed Oreos, blood syrup, cupcake sleeves, kit checklist, and a design guide. It’s priced at P1,000 each, but if you order before Oct. 15, you can get it for only P900.

Here’s another thing you can smash for fun and even decorate your way. Chocoberry MNL’s Jack-O-Lantern Breakable Chocolate Heart (P800) contains a piping bag with chocolate as well as 20 pieces of assorted chocolates to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Can’t get enough of candies? Check out Munchies Galore, which offers Halloween cones for only P60 each (minimum of ten pieces) and Halloween lollipops for only P100 each (minimum of five pieces).

These Halloween-themed meringue cookies by Oh Crumbs are too cute to handle! Have them with your go-to hot beverage or as is—you’ll love them just the same.
