Donut  know what to do without donuts?

Glazed donut sandwiches have been the talk of the town. I’m talking about those goodies filled with delicious, thrilling fillings that could take you to the ultimate dessert paradise. A certain donut shop in Los Angeles has become a hot topic for locals and tourists alike for its fresh strawberry variant, which usually causes long queues inside and outside their store.

These yummy delights have been trending in the Philippines lately as local food brands have come up with different versions of their own. With all the dreamy flavors I’ve been drooling over on my Instagram feed, I’ve compiled the ones that could have you spending a week—or just a few days—trying them all out.

Let’s start with the classic strawberry donut sandwiches (P880) by Pufft. Can you see how chunky and massive they are? Made only for “serious donut eaters,” these moist delights boast of fresh strawberries and sweet strawberry jelly sandwiched between glazed and fluffy buns. But be warned: it can get overwhelming. Start by eating the fruits from the top first, and then just take a bite when you think you can handle it. You’ll thank me later.

Do you like your donuts with cream? This version (P350/P900/P1,700) by Gloria’s Old Fashioned Doughnut is for you. The taste of strawberry whipped cream cheese balances the sweetness of the fruits and jelly, making it a must-have for your next backyard picnic. Bonus: it’s really Instagrammable, too.

Speaking of cream, you might want to try these mangoes and cream donuts (P279) by AUsome Goodies by Matteo. Whipped goodness creates a cradle for yummy mangoes that are the star of this flavor, stunning you with a different yet equally satisfying dessert option.

BUNappetite’s ube cheese donuts (P280/P540) are not like the fruity munchies I’ve mentioned, but they work the same magic. Putting a delicious Filipino twist to the food trend, this variant is amped up with whipped cream pureed with ube halaya and a huge ube chunk on top. The best part? You’ll be surprised by some melted cheddar cheese when you get to the center.
