PSA: Starbucks' viral bear cup arrives in PH on Feb. 1

The viral Starbucks cup that sparked a frenzy in the United States is finally arriving in the Philippines.

Starbucks announced that the Bearista cups, or bear-shaped 20 oz. cups with a green beanie and a green-and-white reusable straw, will be available starting Feb. 1.

Starbucks didn't say how much it was for, but said it will be available on their official LazMall page.

Late last year, the bear-themed holiday cup triggered an online frenzy and in-store brawls in the US. The surge in demand was so high that Starbucks issued an apology, admitting the response far exceeded their "biggest expectations."

"Despite shipping more Bearista cups to coffeehouses than almost any other merchandise item this holiday season, the Bearista cup and some other items sold out fast," they said.
