Eastwood City Pet Blessing returns with in-person events and a first-ever 'Pet Wedding' ceremony

Thinking of having your beloved furry companions blessed? Then you're in luck as Eastwood City is returning this year with its annual Pet Blessing tradition, to be held in both in-person and drive-thru formats.

As the name suggests, pet blessing involves animals being blessed with Holy Water by a priest as a show of love and respect for them. The Philippines previously held them in October last year via a drive-thru ceremony to commemorate World Animal Day and the feast of Saint Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals.

This year's ceremony, called "Love & Paw-er: Pet Blessing Celebration", will be held within Eastwood City on Oct. 2.

In case you don't want to mingle with crowds just yet, you can opt to have your pets blessed via their drive-thru pet blessing, which will take place starting 9 am. The drive-thru pet blessing is limited to 300 car guests.

However, if you live nearby and want your pets to get some additional exercise, then you can participate in their in-person pet blessing that will happen from from 3 pm to 5 pm at the Eastwood Mall Open Park, where there will be a total of 25 pods for guests to stay in during the ceremony. Pre-registration will start at 11 am on-ground.

To make the blessing a lot more special, guests are encouraged to dress up their furry companions as Greek gods and goddesses or in any Greek-themed outfits, and must present their Pet Pass at the registration.

But if you think that's all, then you'd be delighted to know that you can also have your fur babies tie the knot with their special someone in "Yes to Fur-ever", the first Pet Wedding ceremony in Eastwood City. Only 15 pet weddings will be officiated at the Eastwood Mall Open Park, so don't be late in pre-registering on-ground on the day of the event.

You can also enjoy a bunch of other activities at the Fur Station, where you can have your pets vaccinated for anti-rabies for free, try your hand at a wheel game where you can win treats for your pets, pose for pictures at a photobooth, and view a pet-inspired gallery. You can also shop for essentials and accessories at the Pet Fair.
