Ahoy! A ‘Friends’-themed cruise is setting sail in 2022
If you’re a Friends fan, you may still be on a high from the much-loved recent reunion of Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe and Joey. But if that’s still not enough to get your Friends fix, this cruise may level up your fandom up a notch.
“Cruise with Friends,” a themed cruise inspired by the iconic ‘90s sitcom, is set to hit the seas from May 15 to May 22, 2022.
The seven-day voyage aboard the Celebrity Equinox cruise ship will embark from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and will have ports of call in Key West, Grand Cayman and Cozumel, Mexico.
Travel agency Fana World Travel, which created “Cruise with Friends,” promises a fun-filled trip, which will allow about 500 fans to share their love for the show.
Activities include Friends-themed costume contest and trivia games. “Get ready to eat like Joey, joke like Chandler, cook like Monica, shop like Rachel, yoga like Phoebe, and dig like Ross,” the travel agency said on its website.
Stateroom prices (per person) start at $1,648.66 (about P79,000) for inner staterooms, while a a Sky Suite with veranda deck goes up to $3,048.66 (about P145,000).
The prices are inclusive of port charges, taxes, gratuities and perks like unlimited Wi-Fi, offshore excursion credits and premium beverage package.
According to the website, the first 25 guests who book a stateroom will receive free one-night stay at a hotel in Fort Lauderdale before the day of embarkation.
Guests should book directly through the website to have access to special events and gatherings set up by the organizers during the cruise.
All guests who are 16 years old and above must be fully vaccinated againts COVID-19 at least 14 days before sailing.
Guests are also required to complete a health questionnaire and tests will be administered onboard the ship free of charge.
Celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow, Kesha, Cardi B, Post Malone and band Paramore were onboard during their cruises to the delight of their fans and superfans. For “Cruise with Friends,” the travel agency did not specify if any of the show’s cast will be present during the cruise.
