Delectable rainbow-themed munchies for a vibrant Pride Month kick-off

It’s officially the start of Pride Month!

Things may be quite different now due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but that doesn’t mean we can no longer celebrate this significant event as an LGBTQIA+ member, ally, or both. There are many creative ways we can still do so—for one, delighting in rainbow-themed IG-worthy munchies.

Here are some ideas that can let you kick off the month of June with lots of color!

For those who are looking for something sweet… this rainbow mille crepe cake from Paper Moon looks gorgeous, doesn’t it? Priced at P2,500, it’s loaded with fresh pastry cream and Oreo cookies and then topped with candy sprinkles for a vivid finish.

For those who prefer airy sponge cakes... you might want to check out Cupcakes by Sonja, which is famous for its various #PRIDE offerings namely Naked Rainbow Fiesta (P400), Rainbow Fiesta (P1,200), Pride Cupcakes (P110), and Rainbow Mini Cupcakes (P540/12 pieces).

For those who are looking for something sweet and cold… say hello to Pride Pops by Sebastian’s Ice Cream! Priced at P95 each, the handcrafted ice pops are available in three flavors namely Rainbow (strawberry, orange, mango, green apple, blueberry, and grape), Bear (chocolate, Nutella, caramel, coffee, vanilla, black sesame, and black cocoa), and Transgender (blackberry, strawberry, and Yakult).

For those who are looking for something boozy… to symbolize their being an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community, Tipsy Pig Gastropub is giving out free rainbow shots for the whole month to all its customers. “Love is love and everyone is welcome at Tipsy,” they wrote in a Facebook post.
