If it's your goal to expand your knowledge this year, here's a learning opportunity you might want to check out.

In case you don't know, Harvard University has a total of 143 online courses that are being offered for free.

They are classified into three difficulty levels—introductory, intermediate, and advance—with 12 subject areas including arts and design, business, computer science, data science, education and teaching, health and medicine, humanities, theology, mathematics, programming, science, and social sciences.

Among the featured subjects are PredictionX: Omens, Oracles & Prophecies; Managing Happiness; Exercising Leadership: Foundational Principles; Negotiating Salary; Rhetoric: The Art of Persuasive Writing and Public Speaking; The Architectural Imagination; and more. You may find the complete list here.

With durations of one week to over 12 weeks, these courses "are taught exclusively online, typically asynchronously to allow the learner to complete the work within a wider designated time frame," the institution said. This means you can take them at your own pace and convenience.

Harvard University gives free access to the materials for each course, including videos and readings prepared by its instructors.

When you're done with your chosen subject, you may opt to pay a fee (from $99 or P5,600 to $299 or P16,800) to get a certificate of completion verified by the university and include it in your resume as training experience.
