Here's how you can (legally) watch 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' at home ... soon
Spider-Man: No Way Home is continuing to web sling its way into box office highs, but not everyone is rushing into cinemas right now.
With its theatrical release in the Philippines on Jan. 8, not all Filipino fans have had the chance to watch the film in the cinemas amid the rising COVID-19 cases. With factors such as Disney+ still not being available in our region and Sony Pictures keeping mum on the film's digital and DVD release dates, it wouldn't hurt to put a pin on when you can catch Tom Holland's Spider-Man in the comfort of your home.
Here are some sites to bookmark if you're raring to (legally) watch Spider-Man: No Way Home.
DVD and Blu-Ray preorder
The DVD version of No Way Home is available for preorder on Amazon for P1,051.06 + shipping. For a high-definition experience, the Blu-ray version is also available on the e-commerce site for P 1,313.96 + shipping.
For serious Spider-Man cinephiles, the 4K Ultra High Definition Blu-ray goes for P1,471.70 + shipping.
Take note that the title hasn't been released yet, meaning that though you may purchase and preorder it now, Amazon will deliver it to you when the stock arrives.
iTunes
Apple is now offering the Marvel film for Filipino Apple TV users without the use of a VPN. The preorder goes for P599, and you will only be charged once the title is streamable.
Once available, users will be free to watch the film via iPhone, iPad, PC, or whatever device they have an Apple TV account logged on. Apple TV has yet to confirm the date for No Way Home's streaming release.
Google Play
The Google Play Store already has a designated offering for the 4K version No Way Home also going for $19.99, although users can't click on the pre-order button just yet.
So, when can I watch it?
With No Way Home still on a successful cinematic run as of writing, Disney and Sony aren't likely keen on making it available for online streaming just yet.
As for a possible Netflix run, The Hollywood Reporter reported in April of 2021 that Sony and Netflix signed a studio-to-streamer deal for releases starting in 2022, with No Way Home likely being available on Netflix in 2023 or even after.
If you're missing the action, Spider-Man: Homecoming is still available on Netflix Philippines. You can also catch the entire Tobey Maguire Spider-Man trilogy and Andrew Garfield's The Amazing Spider-Man films on the said streaming site.
