'The Summer I Turned Pretty' Season 2 announces release date and episode titles
We have a date!
Prime Video announced that the first three episodes of the second season of The Summer I Turned Pretty will drop on July 14 (July 15 Philippine time). New episodes will be dropped every week up until the season finale on August 18.
The show’s cast, including Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, and Gavin Casalegno, shared the date announcement in a video, as well as the eight episode titles for its second season.
The titles are as follows: Love Lost, Love Scene, Love Sick, Love Game, Love Fool, Love Fest, Love Affair, and Love Triangle.
Season 2 is based on Jenny Han's second book in the bestselling trilogy, It's Not Summer Without You. It sees the return of Belly, Conrad, and Jeremiah at Cousins Beach, but with the latter two "fighting over her (Belly's) heart and the return of Susannah’s cancer."
"When an unexpected visitor threatens the future of Susannah’s beloved house, Belly has to rally the gang to come together—and to decide once and for all where her heart lies," the synopsis read.
The series was picked up for a second season in June last year, before the first season had even debuted.
"Getting picked up for season 2 before the premiere of season 1 is such an exciting vote of confidence from our partners at Amazon," Han said. "We're already hard at work on the next chapter of Belly's story, and I can't wait for everyone to see it!"
