Google Arts & Culture app now lets you find your pet’s art doppelganger. Here’s how to do it
Google’s Arts and Culture app just rolled out a new feature for pet lovers out there: Pet Portraits.
The concept is similar to the app’s Portrait mode wherein you can find your renaissance lookalike using Google’s facial recognition algorithm. This time around, dogs, cats, fishes, birds, reptiles, rabbits, and even horses can join in on the fun with different art pets throughout the years.
Want to see the doppelganger of your furry friend? Here’s how:
- Go to the Google Art & Culture app. It’s available for both iOS and Android.
- If your app is updated, the Pet Portrait feature will automatically be available on the splash page.
- You can then either take a photo of your pet or upload an old photo. Make sure your pet is in the center of the frame.
- From there, wait a few seconds and a multitude of art pets from all over the world and from different periods will be compared side-by-side with your IRL pet.
You can then save the photo in your gallery or turn the suggestions into one slideshow to showcase to the world.
