By SAAB LARIOSA Published Apr 30, 2021 3:21 pm

Noah Centineo is leaving behind his role as He-Man in the Sony Pictures’ live-action adaptation of Masters of the Universe.

A rep for Centineo didn’t divulge further info on the actor’s departure, but simply confirmed with Collider that "he is no longer attached to that project.”

ICYDK, Masters Of The Universe was a popular animated sci-fi series from the 1980s. It also spawned a toy line and a 1987 film with Dolph Lundgren and Frank Langella.

The film franchise that kicked off two years ago was set to see Centineo in the leading role.

We don’t have to wait long before we see the actor in another kick-ass superhero film though,  as he’s still on board DC’s Black Adam dropping in July 2022. The 24-year old actor is set to star as Atom Smasher alongside Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
