Heads up, Travelers! Genshin Impact’s latest update will be bringing new islands to explore, a fishing mini-game, and new characters including Horizon Zero Dawn 's Aloy, a free five-star Cryo archer first coming to PlayStation consoles via early access.

According to publisher and developer miHoYo, the Version 2.1 update “Floating World Under the Moonlight” adds on the content and gameplay to the Inazuma area, including two more major islands, three new characters, and a finale to the main story. The update is set to arrive on Sept. 1.

Players will receive rewards in a series of seasonal events to celebrate Genshin Impact’s first anniversary, as well as receive the crossover 5-star character Aloy for free. Check out the trailer for full details below.

Following the major expansion released in Version 2.0, the main storyline revolving around the Traveler, the Electro Archon, various factions, and the people of Inazuma will come to an end in the final chapter of Inazuma’s Archon Quest with Version 2.1.

Players will be able to explore the Watatsumi Island and Serai Island which will come with more boss enemies that include the Hydro Hypostasis, Thunder Manifestation, and the new Trounce Domain Boss Signora.

Three additional Inazuma characters will be joining the playable character list. The Raiden Shogun will be joining as a five-star Electro polearm user who can deal both damage and apply buffs. Sangonomiya Kokomi, the Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island and leader of the resistance will be joining as another five-star Hydro-catalyst character. Finally, Kujo Sara, a ranged Electro character will be deployed as another character in providing buffs for her team.

The 2.1 update will also include and host a number of events coinciding with Genshin Impact‘s first anniversary and the Chinese mid-autumn Moon Festival, referred to in-game as the Moonchase Festival. During the festival, players will reunite with Keqing and Xiangling in a cook-off event, as well as embark on treasure hunts across Liyue, Mondstadt, and Dragonspine in the Moonlight Seeker event.

As if all the tasks you can do in the game were not enough, players will also be introduced to fishing in the latest update. Players will be able to go angling for a variety of fish across Teyvat, which they can use for whipping up new recipes or they can exchange for rewards and new fishing rods from the Fishing Association.

The first crossover character “Savior From Another World” Aloy will be joining the popular free-to-play game as a free five-star archer. Players who have reached Adventure Rank 20 or above can receive her either during Version 2.1 on PlayStation or during Version 2.2 on all platforms.

Watch Aloy in action in the short clip shared by PlayStation's official Twitter account. According to miHoYo, upon reaching Teyvat, Aloy acquired Cryo Vision, giving her a number of new powers including the Elemental Skill, aptly called "Frozen Wilds" which can be seen below.

Genshin Impact’s Version 2.1 update will arrive on Sept. 1, 2021.

The game is available to download for free on PS4 and PS5 from the PlayStation Store, on Android from Google Play, on iOS from the App Store, and on PC from the Epic Games Store or the Genshin Impact official website.
