Attention, mobile gamers! A new 'Harvest Moon' game is coming to iOS, Android
A new Harvest Moon game is coming for mobile users.
Natsume Inc. president and CEO Hiro Makaewa announced that the title of the future launch is Harvest Moon: Home Sweet Home and that it will bring back gamers to the classic farming simulator.
The upcoming game will also feature the "traditional Harvest Moon style" that fans know and love, familiar characters, and the same cozy farming adventure.
According to the company, Harvest Moon: Home Sweet Home will see your character going back to your hometown after living for 10 years in the city. Your childhood friend convinces you to revitalize the town of Alba, but not all of the residents are happy to see the changes.
Together with your childhood friend and other visitors, your goal is to revitalize the town and befriend the naysayers.
Other details like gameplay have yet to be revealed but its release date has been set for August 2024.
The first Harvest Moon game was introduced for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, or SNES, in Japan in 1996. ICYDK, the objective of the game is to maintain your farm, tend to your livestock, and befriend townfolk. In some games, you can even marry other characters.
Several other titles have been released in the Story of Seasons franchise including Harvest Moon GB, Harvest Moon 64, Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, and Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town for consoles including the Game Boy, PlayStation, GameCube, Nintendo Wii, PC, and Xbox.
Its latest game, Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, was released in 2023 and featured LGBTQ+-friendly options like marrying characters of the same sex.
