BTS, TWICE, NCT 127, Red Velvet: Here are the nominees of the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards

The 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) has officially revealed this year’s nominees for the upcoming awards ceremony on Dec. 11.

To kick off the highly-anticipated “awards season” in K-pop, MAMA 2021 announced that fan votes will not be included in the criteria for determining the Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year. Meanwhile, the Worldwide Icon of the Year and Worldwide Fans’ Choice Top 10 awards will be based entirely on fan votes. 

In a statement, MAMA 2021 said the criteria for the final winners include the judges’ evaluations (40%), digital performance (20%), physical album sales (20%), music video (10%), and global music platform (10%).
