A pastor on TikTok claims he's been to hell, saw demons singing Rihanna's music

A pastor has been making rounds on TikTok for claiming he had been to hell and saw demons singing Rihanna's songs.

In December 2022, pastor and motivator Gerald Johnson shared on TikTok his experience in hell when he “died” sometime in 2016 due to a heart attack.

“My spirit left my physical body, and I thought that I was going up ‘cause I thought I had so much goodness in this lifetime; I helped so many people and made so many decisions that are godly decisions. I supposed I'd be going up, [but] I went down. And I went literally into the center of the Earth,” he recounted.

“The things that I saw were literally indescribable, it makes me emotional every time I talk about it,” he said, saying that he wouldn’t wish it for anyone to experience, even his worst enemy.

He then described the things he saw in hell, such as a burned man walking on all fours like a dog, with eyes bulging out, and chains held by a demon.

“Like telepathic communication, I knew that the demon was sent in this man’s life to ride him from his childhood to his death,” he furthered, noting that a man enslaved by sin on Earth is likely to be a "dog slave" in hell.

Johnson went on to describe the “musical” part of his experience, which he admitted "baffles" him until today.

"There's a section in hell where music was playing. It was the same music that we hear on Earth, but as opposed to entertainers singing it, the demons were singing it. It was some of the same lyrics we hear here," he said.

Johnson enumerated the music he heard in hell, which he said has the lyrics, "Don't worry be happy," "I bust the windows out your car," and "under my umbrella."

The first one refers to Bob Marley's 1988 track Don't Worry Be Happy, the second is Jazmine Sullivan’s Bust Your Windows released in 2008, and last is Rihanna's 2007 hit song Umbrella featuring Jay Z.

The pastor believed that when artists do drugs in creating their craft to “get high, to give verses" and "to get the swag,’” they are actually allowing themselves to get in touch with demons who “will give lyrics to control people on Earth.”

“Every song is to torment you after the fact that you didn’t worship God when you’re on Earth,” he continued, adding that “music is so controlling.”

He later admitted being angry at God for putting him in hell despite doing good, and that he also saw Jesus in the flesh.

“Well, I [was] lifted from hell, and I came back to the Earth, and God began to speak with me. I actually saw the real Jesus,” he claimed. The pastor went on, saying that Jesus told him he went to hell for "not giving forgiveness."

His followers were moved by his story, saying, “This was very very thought-provoking and as if you were speaking directly to me. Very convicting.....pray that I can forgive those who hurt me."

Other users claiming to be musicians considered the pastor's story as an eye-opener and commented, "The message on music was very important." Another user added, "As a singer-songwriter, I needed to hear this."

Meanwhile, others denounced the pastor's claims as blasphemous. "Ppl just describing dreams," one user said.

"Is this real?" another user asked. "But demons don't torture people; they get tortured too. This doesn't make sense," another user wrote.

Rihanna has not released any statement on the matter as of writing. The singer-businesswoman is set to perform at the 2023 Super Bowl in Arizona in February.
