BINI and SB19 are officially joining Weverse!
The South Korean-made global fandom platform revealed the first two Filipino acts to join them in Instagram posts on Thursday, March 12.
"Look forward to the vibrant energy and exclusive content BINI will bring only to #Weverse, as well as their interactions with BLOOM all over the world!" the platform wrote.
“We are very thrilled and excited to officially join Weverse!” BINI Jhoanna said in the video.
SB19 also had an announcement video released on Weverse, with a caption that read: "Look forward to the exclusive LIVE streamings, unreleased videos, and daily updates SB19 will bring only to #Weverse!"
“We can’t wait to connect with all of you there,” SB19's Josh said.
On March 12, Weverse teased two P-Pop groups on Instagram as the latest addition to its growing community.
"The first-ever Filipino artist to enter the Spotify Global Top Artists Chart. The first-ever Southeast Asian artist to enter the Billboard Year-End Social 50 Top 10. Who are these incredible new additions to Weverse?" the platform captioned photos of 8-piece and 5-piece silhouettes.
BINI will go live on the platform on Monday, Mar. 16, 12 p.m. (KST), while SB19 will follow soon after on Mar. 19 at the same time.
BINI, with members Mikha, Aiah, Maloi, Jhoanna, Colet, Sheena, Gwen, and Stacey, debuted in 2021 with Born to Win. They grew more popular in 2023 and 2024 as their songs Pantropiko, Salamin, Salamin, Karera, and more went viral online. This led to them being dubbed the nation's girl group.
SB19 consists of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin. The group debuted in 2018 with their first single Tilaluha and has since become a renowned P-pop sensation, becoming the first Filipino and Southeast Asian act to be nominated in the Billboard Music Awards for Top Social Artist.
Weverse is a mobile app and web platform created by South Korean entertainment company HYBE. It features community announcements, real-time live streams, subscription-based chats, e-shops, and other media exclusive for its members.
K-pop groups from HYBE's multi-label system who have joined the platform include BTS, TXT, GFriend, and Le Sserafim. K-pop acts from other entertainment companies are also a part of it, including BLACKPINK, aespa, Red Velvet, Super Junior, and Treasure.
International artists like Gracie Abrams and Jeremy Zucker from Universal Music Group are also on the platform.
