iPhone will show you the time even when your battery is dead with latest iOS 18 update
iOS 18 is packed with more cool features than just AI.
Users who are on the beta version of the OS update have found one feature that comes in handy when your iPhone's battery is already drained.
Once your battery is depleted, your phone will no longer just show the words an empty battery icon and "iPhone is Findable." It will also begin to show you the time.
However, this feature appears to only work for iPhone 15, 15 Max, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max. MacRumors tested it on an iPhone 14 Pro Max but wasn't able to get the time screen.
This dark screen after your battery is drained is part of Apple's power reserve feature wherein the iPhone saves a small part of your battery for Find My and NFC to work for around five hours.
Apple is also adding other battery updates in iOS 15, including adding charging limits to your devices. According to MacRumors, this function will work based on usage habits to improve the iPhone battery's lifespan.
With this, users can set the charging limit to 85%, 90%, and 95%.
Other exciting features coming to iOS 18 include more customization options for your home screen so you can change the tint of your apps to any color and rearrange them wherever you want.
It will also introduce Apple Intelligence, the tech giant's personal intelligence system capable of generating language, images, and emojis. This AI also takes into consideration personal context by drawing information from your photos, conversations, and calendar.
