It's not every day that John Mayer gives high marks to your cover, but it's also not every day that BLACKPINK's Rosé gives a dazzling rendition of one of your songs.
The BLACKPINK main vocalist gave a moving performance of Mayer's hit Slow Dancing In A Burning Room during a guesting on the JTBC variety show A Sea Of Hope.
With her resounding Australian accent and cool vocals, the Gone singer effortlessly belted out the tearjerker from Mayer's 2006 album “Continuum.” Mayer soon caught wind of the performance, as he Tweeted out a shoutout to the "gorgeous" cover.

The two also had an exchange via Instagram stories, with the 43-year-old artist resharing the cover again with the same caption. Rosé went on to ecstatically reply to Mayer.
"whaat...? No way.... Pinch me," the Korean artist had captioned in tiny letters.
Meanwhile, fans were quick to point out that Mayer hasn't liked any Tweets since 2018, save for the official video of Rosé's cover just this June 29. Talk about appreciation.
