Samsung officially unveiled on Wednesday evening the latest additions to its A-series smartphones: the Galaxy A52, A52 5G and A72. The newest offerings all come with brighter screens, IP67 water and dust resistance rating and a versatile camera setup.

Both A52 variants have a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O Display while the A72 model features a slightly bigger 6.7-inch FHD+ screen. The Galaxy A52 and A72 both offer 90Hz refresh rate while the A52 5G includes a buttery smooth 120Hz refresh rate with 800nits of max display.

All models are equipped with an octa-core (2x 2.3 GHz + 6x 1.8 GHz) processor with two storage options: 128GB and 256GB. In terms of RAM, the A52 5G and A72 will be offered in 6GB and 8GB variants while the standard A52 model will include a 4GB model.

Each smartphone sports a quad camera setup on the back composed of a 64-megapixel f/1.8 main shooter, 12-megapixel f/2.2 ultrawide, 5-megapixel f/2.4 macro, 5-megapixel f/2.4 depth and a 32-megapixel f/2.2 selfie camera.

Apart from the camera hardware, the A-series also offers nifty features like optical image stabilization, which ensures that all of the photos and videos you’d take come out sharp and steady. Its Night Mode option, on the other hand, uses a multi-frame processing, resulting in a bright and crisp image even in dark settings.

Samsung said that the A-series also comes with the Eye Comfort Shield, which automatically adjust the display’s color temperature to reduce eye fatigue. It also includes the Music Share feat, which enables users to easily share their music by simply syncing their phones with their friend's device.

Aside from that, the latest A-series models also promise longer battery life. Both A52 variants come with a 4,500mAh battery that can last for up to two days while the A72 has a bigger 5,000mAh cell. It also includes a headphone jack, a microSD slot with up to 1TB of external storage and a charger brick.

Samsung also confirmed that the Galaxy A52, A52 5G, and A72 will support software upgrades for three generations as well as regular security updates for a minimum of four years.

“Samsung strives to give consumers what they want and need most. That’s why we set out with a vision for the Galaxy A series to democratize Galaxy innovations for everyone,” Samsung's president of mobile TM Roh said. “The Galaxy A52, A52 5G and A72 encapsulate the Galaxy brand philosophy with cutting-edge innovations, services and features at an accessible price.”

The new Galaxy A-series will be available in Awesome Violet, Awesome Blue, Awesome Black, and Awesome White. The Samsung Galaxy A52 5G and A72 will have a sticker price of P23,990 while the Samsung Galaxy A52 will be available at P18,990.

Samsung Philippines is also launching all three models with two special promotions to make it even more exciting for everyone. Beginning March 18 until April 4, any Galaxy A52 5G that will be purchased on Samsung.com will come with a free Galaxy Buds+ worth P5,990.

Meanwhile, those who will purchase the Galaxy A72, A52 5G or A52 from Samsung Authorized Online Stores from March 18 to April 4 will receive a free ITFIT Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker worth P2,090.
