At a press conference, the "Queen of Hugot Songs" expressed her gratitude and excitement over the award she received. “Hindi ko po siya naisip at all na posible pala na may mangyaring ganito in the middle of a pandemic,” she said. “Sobrang saya ko at sobrang grateful ko po sa lahat. I’m so grateful but at the same time, this isn’t just my recognition because I wouldn’t have done it without the people behind me.”
Looking back at her singing career, Moira described her journey as “rough yet rewarding” and “scary but faith-growing.”
“I remember there were a lot of times when I went to my manager, sabi ko, ‘Bakit lahat sila nabibigyan ng opportunity?’ I always blamed myself for it. But he always told me, ‘It will happen in God’s time,’” she shared. “So, that long period of waiting and now being in a season like this, sobrang nakadeepen ng faith and gratitude. It always reminds me that above all the things that God has done in the past, why doubt him now?”
The singer has been dealing with her pandemic fears by writing new songs at home. “It never fails to be my outlet and to be my therapy. I hope when people hear it, it could be their form of therapy also,” she added.
