Anne Hathaway is taking on the role of a sultry mom in her new movie, The Idea of You, premiering next year.

On Thursday, Dec. 21, Prime Video released a first look at the upcoming film as part of its movies to watch out for in 2024.

Hathaway appeared in the steamy teaser with her co-star Nicholas Galitzine, showing off their onscreen chemistry.

The Princess Diaries star plays a 40-year-old divorced mother named Sophie who finds intimacy with 24-year-old Hayes Campbell, the lead singer of famous pop boyband August Moon. The two get together after the single mom takes her 16-year-old daughter to Coachella

In the seconds-long teaser, Sophie asks her lover, “What will people say?” to which he responds with “I don’t care what they say."

Directed by Michael Showalter, The Idea of You delves into Sophie's post-divorce life as she explores the complexities of the 19 year-gap romance.

The romantic movie is based on a novel by Robinne Lee in 2017, in which Hathaway's character was originally named Solène.

Fans were quick to assume that the story was inspired by former One Direction member Harry Styles but Lee broke the speculation during a 2020 interview with Vogue.

“It was supposed to be a story about a woman approaching 40 and reclaiming her sexuality and rediscovering herself, just at the point that society traditionally writes women off as desirable and viable and whole,” the author explained.

Prime Video also gave a glimpse of upcoming movies and series including The Boys, Upgraded, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Jake Gyllenhaal's Road House, and more.
