BLACKPINK’s Jisoo reveals she’s ‘really lucky’ to be paired up with ‘Snowdrop’ costar Jung Haein
BLACKPINK’s Jisoo admitted that she’s “really lucky” to have Jung Haein as her leading man in the upcoming K-drama Snowdrop.
Jisoo described Haein as a “reliable” leading man who “led and listened well to my concerns” in an interview with OSEN translated via Soompi. “From the first shoot to the last, he monitored the scenes with me, and he was reliable because he led the set and listened well to my concerns about the role.”
She also praised her leading man for listening carefully and “sincerely” thinking over their costars’ concerns, noting that she’s “lucky” to work with him.
Jisoo also spoke about her closeness with the rest of the Snowdrop cast. “I met up with the friends I’m rooming with since before the broadcast in order to get closer while practicing and hanging out together, so it was fun making the drama together.”
Meanwhile, Haein revealed that his chemistry with Jisoo is “great” because of her “amazing” portrayal.
“I felt that Jisoo is Youngro herself. Her character portrayal is amazing, and it’s surprising to see her understanding and absorbing the director’s directions on set. Our chemistry while acting together is also great,” Haein said, as translated by Soompi.
The Snowdrop actor also took note of Jisoo’s “friendly” personality on set. “She’s friendly to everyone, and she’s an actress whose strength is being considerate of others.”
Set in 1987, Snowdrop centers around the love story of university students Im Suho (Jung Haein) and Eun Youngro (Jisoo). Their budding romance will be tested amid the June Democracy Movement in South Korea.
The series is set to premiere on Dec. 18.
