Free Comic Book Day goes online this weekend
Set your alarms, bookworms! #FreeComicBookDay is coming to your screens this weekend.
The annual Fully Booked Free Comic Book Day is giving bookworms a chance to snag 15 percent off on D-coded titles under Graphic Novels, Manga, Film and Media, and Science Fiction and Fantasy from Sept. 25 to 26, 2021.
The discount will apply to those who shop for titles only at Fully Booked Online this weekend.
Customers can get three free comics when they order from the participating categories at Fully Booked Online from Sept. 25, from 12 mn to 1 a.m.
One free comic will be randomly given for those who purchase items from the same participating categories at Fully Booked Online from Sept. 25 to 26..
Free comic books up for grabs include titles from Avatar the Last Airbender, The Boys, Invincible, X-Men, and Trese, to name a few.
Traditionally held on the first Saturday of May, Free Comic Book Day started in 2002 as an annual promotional effort by the North American comic book industry to help bring new readers into independent comic book stores. The event has since spread to countries in Asia, Europe, and Australia.
The event is coordinated by the industry's single large distributor, Diamond Comic Distributors, which distributes titles by Dark Horse Comics, Image Comics, Marvel Comics, and IDW Publishing, among others.
Free comic book titles will be selected randomly, according to Fully Booked. The exclusive promo will not apply to the bookstore's online shops on Lazada and Shopee.
