Did you know Fully Booked has been giving bibliophiles an extra dose of excitement along with their book purchases?

Social media user @reginegin3 shared in a now-viral Threads post her delight as a Fully Booked staffer covered her purchased books with complimentary plastic jackets.

Stained or damaged book covers bring about as much horror to hardcore readers as creased sneakers do to sneakerheads; thus, the need for book jackets. Some collectors like to wrap their book covers the usual way—with transparent plastic. Other, more discerning book lovers, meanwhile, choose cloth or even leather to protect their books.

Fully Booked offers the first choice.

The bookstore confirmed the perk to PhilSTAR L!fe on Monday, April 20.

"Yes, we offer a free book jacket service (plastic cover) for books purchased from us," they said in an Instagram message sent to L!fe. "You can have your copies covered in-store—just make sure the price tag is still attached or you have the receipt as proof of purchase."

Online customers can request the same free service. Just leave a note in your order, and your books will be packaged already covered in a plastic jacket.

Another perk the bookstore offers is free giftwrapping. If you buy a book and a gift wrapper at any Fully Booked branch, the staff can wrap it for free if requested.

According to Fully Booked, they started offering these services shortly after they opened their first branch in 2003, and will continue to do so.
