Birdwatchers and nature-lovers, take note!

You can take part in a "morning of coffee, nature walks, birdwatching, and breakfast" on Aug. 2 in Garden Cottages, a rustic garden setting just next to Masungi Georeserve.

To warm up for the birdwatching activity, participants will be served coffee or hot chocolate while they go through an orientation given by two qualified guides: the head of the Discovery Trail at Masungi, who's also an aspiring conservation biologist, and the head of Masungi's Origin Trail, who's also a field biologist, conservationist, and avid birdwatcher.

The nature walk and birdwatching session will be gentle-paced, so both experienced birders and beginners can keep up.

No need to bring binoculars; they'll be handed out at the beginning of the walk.

After the quiet stroll through the trees to spot birds, a breakfast of ube champorado or arroz caldo will be served. Take advantage of this comforting Filipino breakfast to connect with fellow nature lovers and trade stories.

A lecture on Philippine birdwatching will then follow. The whole activity is ideal for anyone wanting to immerse themselves in nature, are curious about birding and the role of birds in the Philippine ecosystem, or are an experienced birdwatcher looking to meet others with similar interests.

The activity will be from 4:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., with a conservation fee of P1,800 per guest. Reserve your slot here.

Hurry; you have only until July 30 to sign up.
