After the success of techno-horror film Deleter, director Mikhail Red and Nadine Lustre are gearing for another project together.

The 31-year-old filmmaker revealed that Nadine is to be casted in his new horror movie with a working title, Nokturno. It will be produced by Viva Films and Evolve Studios, Mikhail's newly launched production company.

Nokturno tells the story of a Filipino family haunted by “a primal and supernatural curse,” involving the “daughter who left them to live overseas.”

Further details about its exact release and other cast members have yet to be announced.

Other than this, Mikhail also unveiled the second horror project of Evolve Studios with the working title, Helel, which means “shining one” in Hebrew. This sci-fi spiritual horror film is “set in the near future about a Filipina astronaut who encounters the devil."

Taking pride of the newly launched entertainment company, Mikhail shared the vision of Evolve Studios, with an aim to present "Filipino stories with exciting plots and imaginative ideas."

He furthered, “We will take wild swings, aim for spectacle and fresh concepts, yet ground them in sustainable and feasible production.”

“Our films aim to be accessible and exciting to the everyday Filipino audience and will have the craft, production value, and sensibilities for international export as well.”

Deleter won big in the 2022 Metro Manila Film Festival, bagging awards for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actress, among others. It has also been premiered overseas in the United States, the United Arab of Emirates, and Singapore.

Mikhail is known for his horror and thriller films, Eerie, Block Z, Birdshot, and coming of the age film, Dead Kids.
