More network transfers: Are Pokwang, Beauty Gonzalez moving to GMA-7?
There is still no confirmation on whether or not Bea Alonzo and Piolo Pascual will make the big move to GMA-7, after years of being connected with ABS-CBN. But there are already reports that more Kapamilya Netorks stars are going to work with GMA-7.
Buzz that comedienne Pokwang will transfer to GMA-7 surfaced earlier this week after she posted a photo of herself in what appears to be a dressing room. Eagle-eyed followers of the actress noticed that she seems to be in a GMA-7 dressing room, with one of the GMA-7 buildings in her photo's background.
For the caption of the photo, she wrote: "Good morning minsan di ko alam talaga kung deserve ko nga talaga lahat ng biyaya at mga dasal na sinasagot mo Lord God, pero sa pagkakaalam ko nararapat lang na ikay pasalamat sa lahat ng ganap sa aking buhay maganda man o hindi dahil alam ko lahat ng ito ay pagmamahal mo ang dahilan kaya naririto ako at nakaka survive. i love you at salamat po."
Pokwang ended it with the hashtag "back to work."
Gorgy Rula of Pilipino Star Ngayon wrote that, according to his sources, Pokwang will be managed by GMA Artist Center, the talent management arm of GMA-7. She will reportedly appear in a GMA-7 drama anthology and a comedy show.
The actress is yet to respond to reports of her reported GMA-7 appearance.
Apart from Pokwang, another ABS-CBN talent who will reportedly make the move to GMA-7 is actress Beauty Gonzalez.
Rula added that Beauty is slated to be part of an upcoming drama show on GMA-7. GMANetwork.com also confirmed that Beauty will be making a soap oepra with the Kapuso Network, although no official confirmation has been made by the network or the actress.
Both Pokwang and Beauty are home-grown ABS-CBN talents. Pokwang's last TV appearances was on TV5’s Fill In The Bank; she also made a guest appearance on GMA-7's Eat Bulaga last year. Beauty starred in the TV5 weekly show I Got You from October 2020 to January 2021. They started working with other networks after ABS-CBN lost its network franchise in July 2020.
