Ready to see Peter Pan and Wendy on another big adventure? 

On Wednesday, March 1 (Philippine time), Disney+ dropped the first teaser trailer for its live-action adaptation of Peter Pan & Wendy. The film stars Alexander Molony as Peter Pan and Ever Anderson as Wendy. Yara Shahidi portrays Tinkerbell, making her the first Black woman to ever take on the character.

"In making Peter Pan & Wendy, we set out to craft a film that honors both the original J.M. Barrie text and Walt Disney's animated adaptation,” director and co-writer David Lowery said in a statement.

“We wanted to invigorate our retelling with emotional sincerity, an open heart, and a grand yearning for adventure,” he added. 

The film is made even more “magical” with renowned actors like Jude Law, Alyssa Wapanatâhk, Joshua Pickering, Jacobi Jupe, and Jim Gaffigan. 

"I'm excited for audiences to see their work, to go on this ride, and to rediscover an evergreen tale from a new perspective,” said Lowery. 

The upcoming movie revolves around Wendy who embarks on an adventure with Peter Pan, a boy who doesn't want to grow up. Joining them in the magical world of Neverland are his brothers and a tiny fairy named Tinkerbell. The fun adventure is also expected to get even more “thrilling” as they encounter an evil captain, Captain Hook.  

The live-action adaptation comes two decades after the release of the Peter Pan (2003) film. It's set to be released on Disney+ on April 28.
