According to Netflix’s Tudum, the next season will feature new showrunners as well as executive producers Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, who also helmed the series Girls.
Show creator Erin Foster, Steven Levitan, Oly Obst, and the series’ star Kristen Bell will join Konner and Kaplan as executive producers.
The first season of the series follows the story of the unlikely pair, Joanne (Kristen Bell), an agnostic sex podcast host who finds herself falling in love with a rabbi named Noah (Adam Brody) she met at a party. The two get entangled in the complexities of their romance, including meddling families and differing outlooks on life.
The second installment will show whether the two will decide to commit to the relationship.
“I think that’s what the show can explore,” Brody says, per Tudum. “What should he do? What should she do? What version of sacrifice is worth it? What constitutes growth, or what constitutes dimming yourself to be with someone else? It’s a sacrifice, but ideally, you grow together and you’re better for it—you don’t have to [lop] off a limb.”
Other details, including its premiere date, are yet to be announced.
Joining Bell and Brody in the first season's cast are Justine Lupe (Morgan), Timothy Simmons (Sasha), Tovah Feldshuh (Bina), Sherry Cola (Ashley), and Emily Arlook (Rebecca), among others.
Nobody Wants This made it to Netflix’s Top 10 TV shows in the Philippines.
