Heads up, anime lovers! A new anime film produced by the studio behind A Whisker Away and voiced by the stars of Jujutsu Kaisen and My Hero Academia is coming to Netflix soon.

Netflix dropped the trailer for the upcoming coming-of-age fantasy anime film, Drifting Home on Thursday, July 14.

The trailer boasts gorgeous visuals and dramatic tones as seven children are trapped in a mysterious apartment building floating in the middle of the sea.

Set on a warm summer's day, the story follows sixth-graders Kosuke and Natsume as they play in an abandoned apartment building together with their other friends. However, after they are caught in a strange phenomenon, they suddenly find themselves in a place where all they can see is the vast ocean. They must now work together with a mysterious boy in order to find their way home.

The film stars the voices of Mutsumi Tamura (Dr. Stone), Asami Seto (Jujutsu Kaisen), and Daiki Yamashita (My Hero Academia).

Drifting Home is directed by Hiroyasu Ishida and written by Hayashi Mori. Ishida previously helmed anime films such 2018's Penguin Highway and 2009's Fumiko's Confession while Mori is known for working on the popular Cells at Work! anime, which is about anthropomorsized cells of a human body.

The film is produced by Studio Colorido, which is also behind another Netflix anime film, A Whisker Away. It will premiere on the streaming site on September 16.
