Ariana Grande to join 'RuPaul's Drag Race' season 15 as guest judge
RuPaul's Drag Race is back, and so is Ariana Grande!
On Dec. 14, the show announced that the singer-songwriter is set to return to the main stage of RuPaul’s Drag Race as the premiere guest judge for the show's 15th season.
The pop singer shared in an Instagram Story that she is thrilled to be part of the show. "I'm not sure who this brown-haired/eyebrowed/cone-tittied woman is but she is verrrrrrrry excited to be guest judging the season 15 premiere of @rupaulsdragrace," she wrote.
"Heart bursting @rupaulofficial, I love you," Ariana added.
According to an Entertainment Tonight report, she will join recurring judges Michelle Visage and Ross Mathews for the two-hour premiere on Jan. 6.
During the episode, the judges will welcome 16 new queens who will strut the Drag Race stage in hopes to take home the coveted title of America’s Next Drag Superstar and a cash prize of $200,000. One of the queens is Aura Mayari, the Filipina Moon Goddess of the season.
Ariana Grande previously joined the show in season seven during the Death Becomes Her runway, where drag queens Jaidynn Dior Fierce and Kandy Ho lip sync to her iconic collaborated song with Zedd, Break Free.
This season will also be the first one to be released under MTV, after it moved out of VH1. RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15 will premiere on the channel at 8 p.m. (ET) on Jan 6.
