The Walkman is back! You can now pre-order a revamped Sony Walkman starting at P79,999
Are you ready for a tech throwback? Sony has launched the Walkman Signature series in the Philippines, bringing the retro gadget with a modern twist to Filipino audiophiles.
There are two versions of the Walkman in the line: the Sony NW-WM1AM2 and the NW-WM1ZM2.
Both devices sport a 5-inch touchscreen and run on Android 11. They also have WiFi capabilities, support microSD cards, and give up to 40 hours of listening time. The Walkmans also come equipped with sound features including the S-Master HX digital amp technology for pure sound reproduction and 360 reality audio for immersive listening.
The cheaper of the two, the NW-WM1AM2, offers 128GB of internal storage and is available at P79,999.
Meanwhile, the more premium NW-WM1ZM2 has more internal storage at 256GB but a steeper price tag at P189,999. This iteration of the device also boasts a gold-plated oxygen-free copper chassis for clearer, expansive sound.
The new gadgets in the Sony Walkman Signature series are available for pre-order from March 28 to April 20. Those who pre-order will get freebies, including vinyl record vouchers.
