‘Dying Light 2 Stay Human’ drops new ‘Monsters’ trailer

Techland debuted a new trailer for the sequel to its parkour zombie thriller hit from 2015 during its “Dying 2 Know” showcase that featured new zombie types and gameplay features.

The trailer starts with the game’s new protagonist Aiden Caldwell and Hakon, who looks very like parkour founder and pioneer David Belle, entering an abandoned GRE hospital to find a bracelet which tracks when its wearer is turning into a zombie or not.

This showcased a new look at the new stealth mechanic at a revamped Dark Area feature of the game, which was not really focused on much in its previous installment as it only served as areas for looting.

It proceeded to show new types of infected including the “Sleeping Beauties,” zombies that seem to be in a dormant state and, as Hakon describes them, are very dangerous when woken up.

Another infected type shown was the Revenant, a zombie with a very muscular upper body and skinny legs. These zombies are capable of buffing surrounding monsters with an infected mist.

And lastly is the Banshee, which are quick and agile zombies that have a big claw hand and occasionally experience flashes of the distant past when they were human.

After encountering an iconic Volatile, Aiden’s bracelet immediately beeps when Hakon wears it on him and is told to run immediately into the light which shows a familiar sequence of awesome parkour and escaping from zombies.

Dying Light 2 is set to release on December 7 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
