LOOK: Jane De Leon's much-awaited Darna transformation
Actress Jane De Leon has finally transformed into the iconic Filipino superhero Darna.
During Aug. 19 episode's of Mars Ravelo’s Darna, viewers finally got to see De Leon's character Narda reveal her fierce new costume for the series.

On Friday's episode, Narda is lying helpless on the ground after a fall from a building in ruins following an earthquake.
Narda sees an apparition of her mother Leonor, portrayed by Iza Calzado, who reminds her about her social responsibility. Narda doubts herself, but Leonor urges her to believe in herself before disappearing.
Narda then stares at the building's falling debris, as the magical white stone falls from the sky and lands in front of her. She then picks it up, and remembers Leonor's advice against indifference.
“Kailangan ko itong gawin," she says in a voice-over, "dahil ang pinakamalaking kasalanan, kapag may kakayahan kang tumulong pero wala ka namang ginawa."
Narda then swallows the stone and shouts, "Darna!"
Her transformation is shown, and De Leon subsequently dons the superhero costume consisting of a red and gold two-piece attire, headgear, arm cuffs, and knee-high boots.
Now a fully-fledged Darna, she finds injured people around and brings them to a safe spot.
ABS-CBN Entertainment's uploaded a clip of the heroic moment on its YouTube channel.
Shortly after the episode aired, Mars Ravelo’s Darna producer JRB Creative Production shared the official poster of De Leon in full Darna costume.
Many netizens were awestruck with De Leon and expressed love and support in the comments.
"Perfect. Bagay na bagay talaga sa kanya ang role na darna. Deserve, Jane!" one user said.
"Naiyak talaga ako nung naging Darna na si Jane De Leon super deserve nyang maging Darna nakaka-proud," another user said.
Screenplay writer Hyro Aguinaldo, meanwhile, compiled the first Darna transformation videos of De Leon, Angel Locsin, and Marian Rivera.

Mars Ravelo's Darna aired its pilot episode last Aug. 15. Aside from De Leon as Narda/Darna, it also stars Joshua Garcia, her love interest Brian; Zaijian Jaranilla, her brother and loyal sidekick Ding; Janella Salvador, her serpentine nemesis Valentina; and Iza Calzado, her mother and the original Darna.
