Filipino horror movie In My Mother's Skin will stream on Amazon Prime in over 240 countries starting Oct. 12.

Set near end of World War II, the movie follows teenage girl Tala, whose family lives in an isolated forest mansion.

After Japanese soldiers tormented them over accusations of stealing Japanese gold, Tala's father Aldo leaves and seeks help from the Americans in an attempt to protect his family.

But Ligaya, Tala's mother, dangles on the brink of life and death, forcing Tala to seek out a mysterious fairy.

Little did Tala know that the fairy is actually a flesh-eating being who wants to consume them all.

In My Mother's Skin stars Beauty Gonzalez, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Felicity Kyle Napuli, James Mavie Estrella, and Angeli Bayani.

Kenneth Dagatan served as writer and director.

The movie premiered at last January's 2023 Sundance Film Festival's "Midnight Section," which included horror entries worldwide.

It's the only non-English language film in the lineup.

In My Mother's Skin was also of international film festivals like Canada’s Fantasia, Czech Republic’s Karlovy Vary, Malaysia’s Miffest, and South Korea’s Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, and Switzerland’s Neuchatel.
