'Six the Musical' cast announced
Yas, queen! The stars of the hit British musical comedy, Six, have been named.
GMG Productions on July 11 has unveiled the fabulous cast for the upcoming Six the Musical International Tour stop in Manila.
The queens are Billie Kerr as Catherine of Aragon, Yna Tresvalles as Anne Boleyn, Liberty Stottor as Jane Seymour, Hannah Victoria as Anna of Cleves, Lizzie Emery as Katherine Howard, and Eloise Lord as Catherine Parr.
They are joined by alternates Izzy Formby-Jackson, Lorren Santo-Quinn, Erin Summerhayes, and Milly Willows.
GMG Productions’ CEO Carlos Candal said in a statement that "Filipinos will be thrilled to see them take the stage with unmatched energy, talent, and passion to tell this extraordinary story."
Debuted in 2017, this modern pop musical created by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss reimagines the lives of Henry VIII's six wives as pop stars, namely Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anna of Cleves, Katherine Howard, and Catherine Parr. As stars, it gave them a platform to "tell their own stories and reclaim their narratives."
The show is directed by Moss and Jamie Armitage, with choreography by Carrie-Anne Ingrouille and set design by Emma Bailey.
Gabriella Slade heads costume design and Tim Deiling for lighting design. Sound design is by Paul Gatehouse, with musical orchestration by Tom Curran, and musical supervision by Joe Beighton.
Six will run from October 4 to 20 at The Theatre at Solaire. It has shows on Tuesdays to Sundays at 8 p.m. with an additional 2:30 p.m. show on weekends.
Tickets are on sale exclusively through TicketWorld. Prices range from P1,798.60 to P5,819.
