‘Fall Guys’ Season 5 brings adventure to the jungle
After announcing the new season with a jigsaw puzzle, game developer Mediatonic has released a gameplay trailer for Fall Guys Season 5, confirming the new jungle-themed update with new rounds and gameplay modes.
Throughout Season 5, players can enjoy the Squad enhancement with new limited-time Duos and Trios Shows. In Season 4, “Squads mode” was introduced where a team of four plays through the Main Show, and the cumulative scores of the player will determine if they will advance to the next round.
There will be new six rounds in the new update which includes Treetop Tumble, the first level with entirely separate routes and “the most ambitious round to date,” Lost Temple, which will be the final round with an ever-changing path to the crown.
Fall Guys lead designer Joe Walsh said in a livestream that this is probably their “most colorful one yet” with a 50 tier path to complete and 20 new costume designs.
The new season will feature obstacles like giant swinging logs, a lost temple, and mechanical rhinos.
Spelunky was announced to be the first collaboration for the season.
Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, and is forward compatible on PlayStation 5, meaning the system may need to be updated to the latest system software but there may be missing features available on PlayStation 4.
Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout Season 5 arrives this July 20. Mediatonic is yet to announce the release date of the franchise coming to Xbox platforms and Nintendo Switch after facing a delay for its planned summer 2021 release to the extensions.
