Lea Michele and husband Zandy Reich welcome baby no. 2
Glee star Lea Michele and her husband, Zandy Reich, recently celebrated the arrival of a new addition to their family!
On Instagram, the 37-year-old American actress-singer announced the good news on Aug. 25 by posting a photo featuring their hands gently holding their newborn baby girl’s tiny leg.
She named her youngest daughter Emery Sol Reich.
"Our hearts are so full, Emery Sol Reich," the caption read.
In May, Lea revealed on Mother's Day that she and her husband are expecting a baby girl.
"The most beautiful Mother's Day today, holding my son who made me a mama…and carrying my daughter," she wrote during that time. This comes two months later after she confirmed that she was pregnant.
In a July episode of the podcast BDA Baby, she revealed to Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt that she had "two back-to-back very early failed pregnancies" before Emery was conceived.
"I had never had a miscarriage before," she said. "The first one, I was like, 'That was weird.' When it happened again right away, I was like, 'Wait a second. Something is wrong.'"
Lea said she and her husband stopped trying to conceive while she was starring in Funny Girl.
“It wasn’t until a little bit later [that] I had another [loss]. I was working at the time. It was super challenging to…process what we were experiencing at the same time, which was very painful,” she said, adding that she was also diagnosed with endometriosis.
Lea took "so many drugs and medications and [got] one thousand shots," and became pregnant.
Lea and Zandy welcomed their first baby, Ever Leo Reich, on Aug. 20, 2020, after getting married in an intimate and romantic ceremony in Northern California in March 2019.
Lea recently starred in the musical Funny Girl. She is well-known for her character as Rachel Berry on the Fox series Glee from 2009 to 2015. In this portrayal, she received nominations for an Emmy Award and two Golden Globe Awards.
On the other hand, Lea's husband, Zandy, embarked on a career in the fashion industry as the president of the clothing company All Year Round (AYR).
