Filipinos know how to find humor in everything!

Messenger and Instagram notes have been making the rounds online among Pinoys, who are sharing their funny takes on famous sayings on social media. They are mostly inspiring quotes about school, work, love, and life, among others.

In case you didn't know, notes are little thought bubbles with messages pinned on one's icon that contacts see when they want to message you. It's a status message that expires after 24 hours.

Here are some of the wittiest entries that PhilSTAR L!fe has come across online so far.

Social media users poked fun at quotes on school (from "thesis defended" to thesis defended") and work (from "keep up the good work" to "give up the good work").

There's also one on success in general, with the road to it being "under corruption" instead of "under construction."

Someone also jokingly used "teacher" instead of "cheater" in a saying about cheating in relationships.

When one is heartbroken, they turn to certain quotes to ease their pain and remind themselves they are not alone. When one is in love, they do the same to express how they feel. But of course, Filipinos have a way of making things fun and lighthearted.

"Mahal kita maging sino ka ba," a Facebook user wrote.

Some of them opted to make fun of sayings about letting go of the past. "People come and people clean as you go," someone wrote. "Sometimes, you just have to let's go," another one said.

They say one's life depends on the choices they make—be it how they treat the people around them or how they deal with everyday problems and situations. While it may be true, social media users had ideas to bring humor to serious life lessons.

"Treat others the way you want to be threatened," an online user wrote.

"Do not do unto others for the sun will come out tomorrow," another one said. Someone, meanwhile, followed it with, "what you gonna do with that dessert?"

A Messenger user also drew laughs when he shared his hilarious view on patience: "Patience is a vertigo."
