Globe has announced that pre-orders for Huawei's latest flagship phones, the new P50 Pro and the foldable P50 Pocket, will start on Feb. 4.

The two P50 series smartphones were first launched in China in 2021 and will be offered through Globe's postpaid GPlan.

The Huawei P50 Pro sports a massive 6.6-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate with a hole-punch cutout for the 13-megapixel selfie camera. Inside, it's powered by a Snapdragon 888 chipset, an Adreno 660 GPU, and 8GB of RAM. It also has an expandable 256GB storage and 4,360mAh battery capable of 66W SuperCharging, 50W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging enabling it to power other devices.

Instead of following the smartphones of today's multi-camera array, the P50 Pro has a unique design. There are two big circles housing the four Leica-designed lenses which consist of a 50MP main camera, a 64MP telephoto lens capable of 100x digital zoom, a 40MP monochrome sensor, and a 13MP ultrawide camera.

Meanwhile, the P50 Pocket comes with a large 6.9-inch folding OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Like its sibling, this foldable also has a hole-punch cutout fitted with a 10.7MP wide angle selfie camera.

Similar to the P50 Pro, the Pocket version is powered by a Snapdragon 888 processor with 8GB of RAM and starts with 256GB of storage. However, its battery is smaller at 4,000mAh.

There are also just three cameras on the P50 Pocket instead of four: a 40MP main, a 13MP ultrawide, and a 32MP Ultra Spectrum sensor.

Below the first camera bump is a small circular display allowing users to check notifications, take quick selfies, control music, and receive quick calls.

Globe has yet to share other details such as pricing for the GPlan packages for the latest Huawei P50 series smartphones. Stay tuned here for updates.
