11-year-old Pinoy singer earns standing ovation from the judges at ‘America’s Got Talent’
An 11-year-old Filipino singer wowed the judges and audience at America’s Got Talent as he returned to the stage for its All Stars 2023 tilt.
Peter Rosalita made it a point that his performance would be flawless compared to his previous one in the same talent competition in 2021, where he got eliminated after encountering a hiccup during his AGT moment.
“This is my second chance. I’m gonna make sure that there will be no hiccups,” he said before his AGT comeback, where he sang Go The Distance by Michael Bolton and proved his vocal prowess.
After his awe-inspiring performance, he received a standing ovation not only from the audience but also all three judges: Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell.
"Peter, you are a star in the making and you really came here to fight—and I love that about you," Klum said.
“Your voice actually got better,” Cowell added.
“I know there’s still a lot of people to come. Having said that, that might be enough to put you through to the final,” he continued.
Aside from Rosalita, a Filipino couple also impressed the judges in the show’s previous episode. Known as the “Power Duo,” Jervin and Anjanette Minor performed synchronized high-flying acrobats and aerial moves to Calum Scott's You are the Reason. They entered the grand finals of the competition.
