Philippines' first self-photo studio lets you take fun photos at your own pace
No photographer and no professional cameras? No problem! The first self-photo studio in the Philippines is now open.
If you're familiar with South Korea's Photomatic self-photo studios, where you get to take control of the shutter clicker, we now have one here.
ATOMM Studios is what it sounds like: You can snap your own photos by renting space and equipment such as professional cameras, lighting, and props, for 30 minutes to an hour—and at affordable rates, too. Plus, if you're shy posing in front of other people, self-photo studios are great as you can take photos while having fun privately.
The studio takes personalization to the next level as you can choose between Package A (2 pax, 15 mins. photoshoot, 15 mins. photo selection, 1 pc single photo print, 1 pc collage/grid print, and 5 digital copies) priced at P700 and Package B, where as low as P650 can get you a 15-min. photoshoot, 15-min. photo selection, and 5 digital copies for two persons. Additional persons to the shoot will be charged with P250 per head.
ATOMM Studios allows you to apply any of their color grading presets on the five photos you select.
As a client, you can also opt for additional services such as other photo print varieties (4R, Korean photo card type, and Grid), 15-second video edits, and a choice to receive via email all raw soft copies of the shoot at Php 400.
However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the self-photo studio limits the number of persons to five per shoot. On the bright side, you can bring your pooch or ming-ming on set (1-2 pets only due to limited space)!
Over October’s lead singer Josh Buizon is one of the founding partners of this unique photo studio along with six other millennials coming from different industries yet share the same passion for creativity: fellow singer-songwriter Thea Panaguiton, creative director Merphi Panaguiton, multimedia producer Bria Cadenas, photographer Bono Diaz, entrepreneur Joseph Yaranon, and digital marketer Max Gatchalian.
The group initially wanted a creative outlet while looking for ways to help fellow creatives in the process, hence they set up their own photo/video studio for people to pursue their own passions while making memories with their loved ones.
The founders boast of balancing high quality, professional photos with the cozy atmosphere that the studio brings to their clients, which is why their reservation slots until April 2022 are filling in fast.
The ATOMM Studios team shared with PhilSTAR Life how glad they were to receive a warm response from clients who flock to their studio, all coming from within and even outside the metro.
“We put a lot of detail into the design of the studio together with the architectural firm, Studio Sui, and we're glad that the customers get to appreciate the aesthetic of the place. The most common feedback we've been getting is that our clients feel seen and more confident when they enter ATOMM Studios."
"It's exciting even for us when we have customers that come into the studio for their first self-shoot studio experience. We're so happy that we are able to help people discover more about themselves and be comfortable, confident, and feel good in front of a camera,” they said.
As a new-sprung business, this studio still envisions enhancing their client’s experience by keeping comfort and safety as their number one priority.
If you plan on having your own shoot at their studio, make sure to observe strict health and safety protocols and secure a slot here.
ATOMM Studios is located at the second floor of Lot 6, Block 7, Batasan-San Mateo Road, Batasan Hills, Quezon City. Their studio is at the top of Robinsons Easymart Batasan-San Mateo.
