Disney has been remaking many of their beloved animated films into live-action productions, with the most recent film being Pinocchio. While live-action commonly entails realistic visuals, it seems that Disney is set on being faithful to the wooden boy's image.

In a new trailer for the upcoming film, Pinocchio is shown to retain his classic looks, complete with his adorable blue eyes, chubby face, signature long nose, and his recognizable outfit.

While the teaser trailer barely showed the titular character, the second one makes sure that lovers of the original film can get their fill of Pinocchio as it provides many scenes of him trying to fulfill his dream of being a real boy.

It also shows other beloved characters including Jiminy Cricket, the sly fox Honest John, the sinister Coachman, and of course, the humongous and monstrous whale that swallowed Pinocchio.

In case you haven't watched the original film, Pinocchio follows a wooden puppet crafted by a kindhearted but lonely Italian woodcarver who is suddenly brought to life by a blue fairy. In order to be a real boy, however, Pinocchio must learn to be good and truthful, and should he ever lie, his nose will grow longer and longer.

Set for a Sept. 8 release on Disney+, the film is directed by Robert Zemeckis and stars Tom Hanks, Cynthia Erivo, and Luke Evans in live-action roles and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Keegan-Michael Key in voice roles.
