Using a median estimate of all the deals recorded in each country for its calculation, the average cost of a broadband service in the Philippines was found to be $53.71 or P2,600 monthly. Out of the 211 countries included in the study ranked from the cheapest to the most expensive, the aforementioned amount put the Philippines in the 119th spot.

In Asia, excluding the Middle East, it placed 23rd out of 27 economies in the list that ranged from the cheapest to the most expensive.

The Philippines was at 77th on a per-megabit basis, with $0.75 or P36.11 per megabit monthly.

PLDT, Globe, Converge ICT Solutions, One SKY, and RISE are among the internet service providers in the country.

The ranking started in 2017, and Cable.co.uk said 211 is the highest number of countries ranked thus far.
