‘Apex Legends’ reveals new character in ‘Metamorphosis’ trailer

Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale, Apex Legends, has officially unveiled Seer, the newest addition to their roster of Legends for its 10th season.

“A bad omen cast a shadow over Obi’s birth: will his light survive and emerge from the darkness?”

According to the trailer, Seer was made an outcast from where he is from because of what happened when his mother was giving birth to him as a nearby planet was seen blowing up.

The new character was already being teased a long time ago through in-game items and a fairytale short series. The in-game item being the microdrones he is connected to.

“A stray micro-drone from the mysterious heart container. A work of art, it appears to be hand-crafted by one with great skill and taste. It would make an inscrutable gun charm,” was the item's description.

The fairytale series was called “The Moth and The Flame,” and it is about a princess who made a blood pact with a moth after falling for a young man whom her parents disapprove of. 

The moth and the princess’ blood pact never made it through, and “the curse of the moth hung over the kingdom that day and all the days that followed.”

The curse is said to be connected with the explosion on the planet and it has long been an omen from where he is from.

Players and fans might know more about the new Legend once he drops with the Emergence update on August 3.

Apex Legends is available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PC, Android, and iOS.
