Issa Pressman, Kim Jong Un are Pinoys’ most searched personalities of 2020
Pinoys are always in the know, especially when it comes to showbiz and politics. This year is no exception, according to Google’s “Year in Search” report released Thursday, Dec. 10.
Topping the list of the Philippines ’ most searched female this year is Filipino-British model-artist Issa Pressman, while the most searched male is North Korea Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
Pressman made headlines in January after netizens linked her to the breakup of reel-to-real couple Nadine Lustre and James Reid. The younger sister of actress Yassi Pressman later denied the allegations in an Instagram post on January 24.
She wrote, “If I stay silent, I’m ‘guilty’. If I stand up for myself, I’m ‘defensive’. The world judges either way. But to end it here & now, everything is 100% FALSE. #ThinkBeforeYouClick.”
Next to the list of most searched female personalities is Sofia Andres. The 21-year-old actress broke the internet on June 21 when she announced that she’s now a mother to her baby girl named Zoe.
Ivanna Alawi landed on the third spot for her YouTube videos and social media photos that showcases her pretty face and voluptuous body often in a bikini.
On the other hand, Kim Jong Un was talked about this year after being the target of a death hoax in late April. Several mainstream publications reported that Kim died from botched heart surgery. Others said that he was in a coma or brain dead. North Korea’s state news agency tore down the rumor mill when it later published a photo of the dictator in a ribbon-cutting ceremony in a fertilizer factory on May 1.
Coming in at number 2 is US President-elect Joe Biden, who defeated incumbent President Donald Trump in one of the country’s tightest and most controversial elections held on November 3.
Korean actor Hyun Bin ranked third following his bewitching portrayal of Captain Ri Jeong Hyeok, the dashing Oppa in the hit K-drama series Crash Landing on You, which was first aired on Netflix on December 14, 2019.
